  • A new member...greetings to all. Pls advise.

I am planning on taking exam 2/FM on may 25, 2006 and exam 1/P
August 15, 2006. How many hours of study should I expect to plan for?
Are these plans realistic (3 months of study with about 10-15 hours a
week of study time)? Would you advise using any other resources
other than what is recommended by SOA?

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to join us!! Well, in my opinion, at least 100 hours study time for each exam, and practice problems are very very useful. Math and finance background are very important too. This discussion forum and www.beanactuary.com are your good buddy. Bottom line is study, master all the material, and practice practice and practice.

It is very hard to start, and I am still working on it. My exam is next week, I hope i pass. Good luck buddy!!
