  • The Difference between American and British Actuary courses

    Hello
I have heard that there are two different kind of Actuary education systems
There is one that is situated in America and the other one is situated in Britain.

If i learn from one the American version of actuary, will i have a problem trying to get employed in a country that uses the British version of Actuary

i'm not sure how to word this post correctly so forgive me for my extremmely bad english

It's important that you pass exams for the country you would like to work in. I'm not sure about this, but I think some of the earlier exams might be transferable in different systems.
Whether you are the lion or the gazelle, when the sun comes up, you better be running.

Ken's about got it - here's a table of what exams you can get credit for through the SOA if you take the Institute of Actuary exams.
