  • Questions about the exam

Hi everyone. I just started to study for the Probability Exam. I'm just wondering do you only need a pass on the exam? Is there going to be an exact score and is a higher score more competitive than a lower one when it comes to employment or internship (when they are both above the passing grade)? Second, what if you fail an exam? Can you take as many times as you want and will there be records of your previous scores? Third, what texts other than the Actex manual should I study?
Thanks for helping and wish you good grades on your exams!

I think all you need is a pass. From what I've read you need a 6 at bare minimum. Also, I think you can take it as many times as you need to in order to pass, but no more than that. I've been using Probability for Risk Management and I like it. It's also published by Actex, though. There is also the ASM manual. I'm sure there are plenty of manuals out there though. Just have to look for them.

On every exam the maximum you can get is a 10. There are some exams where a 10 is not possible. You need a 6 or higher to pass.
