  • Fastest Way for VEE Credit

I graduated from college without taken any of the courses required for VEE credit. I'm now trying to find the quickest route to get VEE credit. Does anyone know of a quick/easy exam to take or an online college course?

    Thanks.

actex does an online course for corporate finance. It's relatively cheap too.
Google Actex corporate finance and it will come up

NEAS is the best and easiest way. One of my co-workers studied for literally 2 days and passed with 90%, though he is probably smarter than the average actuary so your results may vary.

NEAS is also pretty cheap, I just went on their website, and I'm probably going to take 2 of their VEE credit classes.

          Neas vee

So is this the best way then? I too took none of the approved courses in college I did all theoretical math. Also does it matter where I am located at since NEAS is new england?

As for NEAS, I see they claim it has to have ASA ,FSA or CFA,etc. to proctor the final exam but if I don't know one who is ASA,FSA,... and I'm just a student. How can I find the one

Normally if you aren't taking these classes in college, you are working at an actuarial firm so you'd get someone in the office to proctor you.

If neither apply to you, contact whoever proctors your actuarial exams and ask them.

CLEP for VEE Economics is the Cheapest and Easiest!

I'm planning to take CPCU 540 for VEE Corporate Finance.

                    What order?

What order should I take the VEE courses in? Does it matter?

No it doesn't. Just start with what you feel most comfortable with, or get them all done at once, if you have the time, that way you'll get rid of them.

If I'm reading this right, are you suggesting that it's possible to do all the NEAS VEE seminars at the same time?

I'm considering doing this for the next session but I was wondering if it would be too much of a work load. I'd like to get VEE out of the way but I don't want to get over-ambitious either. I'm currently working full time at a job that isn't actuarial, and therefore doesn't give me study time, but I can dedicate a few hours most nights during the work week, plus most weekends.

I've studied for multiple actuarial exams before (I've passed 3 in the past year, hopefully passing the 4th tomorrow), so I was figuring that I'd be able to handle multiple seminars, let me know if I would be making a mistake by trying to do them all at once.

I think if you have to choose one, Statistics is the best because it is the biggest hassle to fulfill later. Like Mathrix says, CLEP Economics and CPCU 540 are a very painless and homeworkless way to take care of the other two.
